Before I write another word, I ask that you read Article I, Section 7 of the U.S. Constitution States which says:

“Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively.”

Did you get that? “Both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays.” Pretty clear, right? Well not to Madame Pelosi and Rules Chairman Louise Slaughter (D.-N.Y.), one of her minions who wrote the House would “deem” the Senate health care bill passed without ever holding a recorded vote on it  as required by Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution. Now, go back and read it again. The word “deem” appears nowhere in that Article. The nerve of this pretentious Congress to try and change the meaning of the United States Constitution by making things up.

I’m not an attorney, but I can read. It clearly states that both Houses of Congress have to vote by yeas or nays. It doesn’t say that the cowardly Democrat wusses in Congress can just say, “well we’re gonna do whatever the Senate wants and then we’ll trust them to change it regardless of what the American people who voted us into office want us to do.”

If they decide to pull this bogus wool over our eyes, then what’s to stop them from doing it for Cap & Trade, Immigration, and every other government takeover of our lives? Enough is enough and I will do everything in my power to reach as many people as I can via this and other blogs to make sure these corrupt politicians get kicked out of office and have to work in the private sector.

These people don’t care one way or the other about your healthcare, and it’s obvious that they look upon We The People as nothing more than sheep being led to the…um…Slaughter. Representative Louise Slaughter, that is.
